A DERBY clash between Dalton United and Furness Rovers is the pick of the ties in the first round of this season’s West Lancashire League Challenge Cup.
The draws for the league’s knock-out competitions were revealed over the weekend and the sides will go head-to-head at Railway Meadow on Saturday, November 17.
Dalton are currently third in Division Two and their good form was recognised recently when they were named as the division’s team of the month for September, along with managerial duo Andrew Marshall and Phil Rigg picking up the manager of the month accolade.
Furness Cavaliers and Walney Island have both been handed home ties in the first round of the Challenge Cup too.
The draw for the first round of the Richardson Cup sees Vickerstown hosting Poulton.
And in the Division One Presidents Cup, Crooklands host CMB and Millom are at Lostock St Gerards.
All ties are scheduled to take place on November 17.
