AS our fanbase is aware, the club went through some financial issues this season with expenditure considerably higher than income.

I have been trusted to do a job and one of my key objectives is to turn this imbalance round, but at the same time grow the crowds and get an improving team on the field.

It isn’t an easy task, but I’m sure you are all happy with the signings we are making and I can assure you we are talking to some more quality additions.

At our last board meeting we had a lively debate. I desperately want our club to have a community feel about it and for the crowds to flourish, but at the same time it would be remiss of me not to consider all things financial. The clubs with better crowds, under the new proposed model, will receive more of the RFL distribution so it is vitally important that we do not price people out of the market, but at the same time I do not want to repeat the dire financial statement that came in July this year.

I am sure you will all appreciate it is a delicate balancing act.

Therefore, with some regret but also some sensibility, we have made the decision to increase in the admission charge for the first time eight years.

At the same time, I want to target the supporters of tomorrow and to make matches affordable for families. I want to create a family day out which doesn’t involve checking overdraft limits.

Therefore, all children, 16 and under, will now receive free entry with a paying adult.

I have been asked by many of our supporters whether they could pay for a season ticket in instalments and we are able to take monthly payments via standing order. We just need you to visit the shop in Scott Street and fill out a standing order mandate and you can spread your payments over 12 months.

In addition to this I want to create supporters for life and to be able to set realistic financial plans so I have another unique offer to announce. For the first 100 supporters who purchase a season ticket, either with full payment or via standing order, then we will guarantee no increase in price for life.

As long as the standing order isn’t cancelled or you continue to pay each year for the ticket in full then we will honour our prices. The only way the prices can go is down when concession age is reached.

In summary, our new prices will be:

- Ground Admission at £17 for adults, £12 for concessions and £5 for children aged 16 and under, who will be admitted free with a paying adult.

- Season Ticket in full: Adult £195, Concession £130, Child £10 (which also covers away games)

- Season Ticket via standing order: Adult: 12 payments of £17, Concession: 12 payments of £12

- Regular season only

- First 100 season ticket sales will be guaranteed for life.
