There was good news for Crooklands Casuals too as they beat Lytham Town 3-1 at Longlands.

It was game which saw league leaders Leyland reduced to 10 men, making it five red cards in three games for them.

Elsewhere in the division, GSK Ulverston Rangers lost 3-0 at home to Lostock St Gerards.

In Division Two Walney made it eight games unbeaten with a convincing 6-1 home win over Garstang reserves.

That win and results elsewhere saw Walney climb to the top of the table on goal difference from Croston Sports.

Dalton United are just one point behind those two after they beat Horwich St Marys Victoria 2-1 at Railway Meadow.

Dalton’s club record-scorer Gareth Jones was on hand to grab both goals.

Holker Old Boys’ defensive woes continued in the North West Counties League First Division North as they lost 9-0 away at St Helens Town.

It was a similar story for Holker’s reserve team in the first round of the Terry Clinton Memorial Trophy as they were beaten 6-2 at home to Vickerstown reserves.

Under-16 graduates Brody Luxon, with two, Tom Dawson, Max Green and Harrison Turner all scored for Vickerstown.
