CARL Pearson was the star of the show for Hawcoat Park reserves as they became the first team to defeat Croftlands Park in the Furness Premier League Premier Division this season with a 4-3 win, writes Steve Brennan.

But there was more drama in added time as Hawcoat were awarded a penalty and up stepped Pearson to slot home the winner.
