THE past two Furness Premier League Premier Division champions go up against each other tomorrow when Croftlands Park host Hawcoat Park reserves.

Croftlands, Premier Division winners at their first attempt in 2017, have made a flying start to the league in 2018-19 and continued that with a 4-2 victory over Kirkby United in the Senior Cup last Saturday.

Among their number is league top-scorer Matt Dean, who has netted 15 goals already.

A 3-1 defeat at Bootle in the league last weekend left Hawcoat’s second string five points behind the early leaders, so they will be eager to claw back some of that deficit in tomorrow’s first-versus-third match-up.

Second-placed Barrow Celtic are still snapping at Croftlands’ heels after putting seven past Millom reserves last Saturday. They are back in action at Newby Terrace tomorrow when Swarthmoor Social visit.

Millom, on the other hand, welcome winless Dalton United reserves to Hanna Field tomorrow.

The rest of the Premier Division fixtures see Bootle at home to Walney Island reserves, Britannia host Kirkby and Haverigg United welcome Furness Cavaliers reserves.

Meanwhile, Holker Old Boys reserves get the Terry Clinton Memorial Trophy under way when they host Vickerstown reserves.

The pick of the day’s action in Division One sees Hawcoat A host Barrow Wanderers reserves.
