BARROW Celtic ran out 7-4 winners over Millom reserves in the Furness Premier League Premier Division.

Rob Johnson (2), Hugh McParland (2), Connor Smith (2) and Alex Hall were the Celtic scorers, and Aaron Giles (2), Steve Bradley and Joe Myers replied for Millom.

Britannia lost 4-3 at home to Walney Island reserves, with Elliot Stockdale getting a last-minute winner.

Mike Carr (2) and Chris Newsham also scored for Walney. Dean Crossman, Sean Darby and Liam Holmes were the Brit scorers.

Winless Dalton United reserves suffered a 3-1 loss to Swarthmoor. Ollie Hambley (2) and a late Ben Rhodes goal did the damage. The evergreen Mike Otto found the net for Dalton.

In the Furness Senior Cup, Croftlands beat Kirkby 4-2, with Charlie Segger (2) Ryan Ireland and Matt Dean the Croftlands scorers. Sam Pinnegor got both for Kirkby.

Holker Old Boys reserves beat Coniston 4-1 in the Paul Wilson Cup. Troy Magee (2) and Stephen Forbes (2) the Holker scorers. Andrew Warne replied for Coniston.

Vickerstown are also into the second round of the Senior Cup after a 4-3 home win over Haverigg United.

The pick of the goals was a superb curling effort from Jack Litherland. Tom Dawson (2) and Max Green were also on target. John Chmiel (2) and Craig Armstrong replied for Haverigg.

Bootle were 3-1 winners at Hawcoat Park reserves. Carl Mackay found the net for Hawcoat but Oliver Smith, Connor Nuttall and Andrew Knowles replied for Bootle.

In Division One, Swarthmoor reserves stay top after a 2-0 win over Bridge United thanks to Luis Wagstaff and Billy Mansell.

Barrow Wanderers beat Millom A 6-2, with Dan Turner scoring four, with Craig McIlvogue and Jordan Swarbrick also on target. Jon Patton and Neil Shaw found the net for Millom.

British Legion beat Croftlands Park reserves 6-0. Zak Gill scored a hat-trick, Coen White, Paul Williams and Lee Kavanagh one apiece.

Crooklands Casuals Res lost 9-0 to Furness Rovers reserves. Reece Vaughan (2), Danny Allinson (2), Tom Dodd, Steve Crompton, Adam Spence, Owen Woodburn and an own goal accounted for Rovers’ tally.

Stu Thompson gave Barrow Celtic reserves a 1-0 win over Vickerstown A.
