THE chasing pack have an opportunity to close the gap on early Furness Premier League Premier Divison Leaders Croftlands Park tomorrow.

Croftlands, the league winners in 2017, are without a game this weekend, so reigning champions Hawcoat Park will be aiming to close the gap to two points when they host Bootle.

Hawcoat are also aiming to bounce back from a 10-3 loss to Kirkby United in the Paul Wilson Memorial Trophy.

Kirkby sit just behind them and Croftlands in the table, although they too are without a match.

Instead, that gives Barrow Celtic the chance to leap-frog them, but they must first overcome Millom reserves at Newby Terrace to make that a reality.

At the other end of the table, Dalton United reserves are aiming to end a run which has seen them suffer defeats in all 10 of their opening matches.

They host mid-table Swarthmoor Social and the other game sees Britannia at home to Walney Island reserves.

There is one outstanding fixture in the first round of the Paul Wilson Memorial Trophy being played tomorrow, with Holker Old Boys reserves hosting Coniston.

The pick of the Division One fixtures sees third-placed Swarthmoor reserves take on second-placed Bridge United, and there is a second-versus-third clash in Division Two when GSK Ulverston Rangers reserves host Barrow Wanderers reserves.
