MAIL readers have shown even more support for their favourite pie shops after a Barrow bakery was listed the best in the country.

Green's Bakery, on Jarrow Street, was named in 'The Great Pie Revolt: A Gastronomic Guide to the Premier League and EFL' by author Jack Peat.

Dave Myers of the Hairy Bikers - co-author of 'The Ultimate Pie Bible' - and Martin Tarbuck - author of 'Life of Pies' - have both written the book on pies and both conclude that this is the best pie shop in the country. And Mail readers are passionate about revealing which pie shop is their favourite.
