Iain Stirling has thanked fans for their "mind blowing" support after launching a new podcast with fellow Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore.

The comedian posted on Twitter after the married couple's true crime podcast "Partners in Crime" climbed the Spotify charts.

Alongside two pictures - a billboard advert of the podcast and the streaming platform's podcast charts - the presenter wrote: "The support for the podcast so far has been mind blowing! Thank you all so much."

The married couple launched the Spotify Original podcast on June 28 and only have one official episode and yet, the new podcast has already reached fourth place on the UK charts.

'Partners in Crime' is presented by the self-described "True Crime enthusiasts and real-life partners" with a new episode every Thursday.

In each episode, the pair look into the most infamous, bizarre and fascinating cases in true crime history.

"By day, they are partners in life. By night, they are partners in crime," Spotify says.

You can already listen to the couple's first episode: "The Vampire Killers" on Spotify.

The first episode uncovers the story of German husband-wife duo Daniel and Manuela Ruda.

In its description, the Rudas are described as sleeping in coffins and "have real-life animal fangs, they also consider Satan to be a close friend and mentor".
