Aldi has revealed it will be launching three pigs in blankets variations in stores this Christmas.

The range will include: Pigs in Beds, Stags in Quilts and Chilli Pigs in Blankets, starting at just £2.29.

The festive food will begin arriving in stores from November 26, so there’s not long to wait if you want to try them before Christmas Day.

Aldi said it has ‘upgraded’ its sausage selection, not just wrapping them in a blanket but tucking them into a cosy bed.

And the new sausages have been named ‘Best Pigs in Blankets’ at the Quality Food Awards.

The Pigs in Beds feature bitesize pork piglets on top of an apple and honey meat ‘bed’ and cranberry ‘pillows’. On top of this is a ‘blanket’ of smoked bacon. These will be in stores December 19th.

This year the new venison version might sway you. The Stags in Quilts are British wild venison and pork cranberry chipolatas, rolled in streaky British bacon. This will be available in stores from 9th December.

Back by popular demand are the Ghost Chilli Pigs in Blankets, perfect for those who want a little spice with their Christmas Dinner.

Not only did Aldi’s Pigs in Beds win big at the QFA, the Specially Selected Honey Glazed Chorizo Wrapped in Pancetta on sale 26th November, were also highly commended.

10 little chorizo sausages are hand-rolled in slices of spicy pancetta with a sweet honey glaze.

Aldi’s Pigs in Blankets range will be available in stores nationwide from 26th November 2021.
