BARROW has the fifth lowest coronavirus case rate in the North West, according to recent figures from Gov.uk.
The number of cases per 100,000 in Barrow stood at 142 in figures dating to November 27 published recently.
The only other area outside Cumbria with a lower case rate than Barrow is Lancaster which has 118 cases per 100,000.
The area with the lowest case rate is Copeland with 110, followed by Allerdale with 113, then Eden with 120.

Until the new system comes into place, the England is still under lockdown restrictions, and the Government advice is still: hands – wash your hands regularly and for 20 seconds, face – wear a face covering in indoor settings, space – stay two metres apart from people you do not live with where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place.
