RAIL users travelling from Lancaster to Barrow earlier this afternoon faced possible delays as Northern announced that the train wouldn't stop at nine stations en route due to a fault.
The 16:48 from Lancaster to Barrow only stopped at those two stations as it was forced to avoid the nine stops in between due to an unknown fault.
These included Carnforth, Silverdale, Arnside, Grange-Over-Sands, Kents Bank, Cark, Ulverston, Dalton and Roose.
The 17:48 train which goes along the same route will be stopping at every single station but is currently running five minutes late.
The Furness line has recently been plagued by cancellations and delays to its service over the Christmas period.
