MEMBERS of the public have said "enough is enough" after littering in the town centre today reached an all-time low.
Bin bags of rubbish have been strewn across paths, pavements and the entirety of Coronation Gardens in Abbey Road overnight.
A large amount of litter has also been left across the grass and paths next to Tesco in Rawlinson Street.
One disabled pedestrian was forced to navigate his way through the litter and commented: "Enough is enough. This needs to be tackled. It can't be allowed to continue like this."
Hard-working staff from Continental Landscapes and FCC are this morning tasked with the unenviable task of clearing up all the litter.
Police are understood to be taking steps to address the problem and have previously vowed to consider prosecuting repeat offenders.
The Mail has contacted police for a new statement about the issue which has been going on for over a year.
