A NEW prom dress boutique has opened with styles catering to 'every taste'.
Night at the Proms, on Duke Street in Barrow, opened to the public on September 14.
The two-level shop offers a wide selection of styles to cater to 'every taste' from classic ball gown dresses to fishtail and sparkly fitted dresses.
The shop has a walkway, pink telephone booth and pink wings where customers can pose for photos wearing their favourite dresses.
Shop owner Adele Williams is venturing into owning a business for the first time.
"Years ago we were going to open a shop but life got in the way and we never did. I have always wanted to have my own shop and be my own boss," she said.
"My daughter is 16 and she just had her prom so she had been researching shops for a long while and we got good customer service from some and really bad from others.

"So then I thought 'Let's give it a go'. It was before Christmas last year that I decided that was the way we were going to go with the shop."
For Adele, finding the suppliers was 'quite easy' but the main trouble was to find a shop available to start her trade.
When asked why Adele wanted to place her business in Barrow, she said: "I am from Barrow and I feel like Barrow will reinvent itself in time and I want to be a part of it.

"I think every town goes through a low and it maybe will never be as it was - I do believe Barrow will come back strong and I want to be there when it does."
She said she wanted to give the girls a 'lovely experience' and hopes they will enjoy trying on dresses for their prom.
"With my daughter, we had to go three and a half hours to look at dresses but now they are here on their doorstep. With my prom shop and other boutiques that sell prom dresses, they have all got nice designers - hopefully, the girls won't have to travel as far they can just stay local," she said.
"Maybe they will come from outside of the area as well which again is something I am hoping."
