A LAND Rover had to be pulled out of Windermere by a tractor after it was 'completely submerged.'
Cumbria Police were called to the site at 7.14pm on September 7. A spokesperson said two occupants were already out of the car and were fine when the police arrived.
The Land Rover was pulled out of England's largest natural body of water an hour and a half later. Anca Powell took photos of the car when she was passing on her boat behind Belle Isle.
"It looks like Land Rover was almost completely submerged at one point, but thanks to efforts from bystanders - and primarily the use of a tractor - the car was pulled from the lake at around 8.45pm," the spokesperson said.
