A MAN has been sentenced after admitting his behaviour was likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress towards another male and a woman in Barrow.
Kier Hill, of Ayr Street in Barrow, admitted two counts of the Public Order Act 1986 offence at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on August 29.
With his guilty pleas at the first opportunity, the 20-year-old conceded that he had used threatening / abusive words / behaviour towards both victims on May 11 this year.
As a result, magistrates fined Hill £53.50 for the offence.
They also imposed a restraining order for Hill not to contact the female complainant directly or indirectly by any means whatsoever.
Hill was also ordered to pay mandatory court costs of £85, as well as a £43 surcharge.
