A WOMAN has been sentenced in court after admitted to stealing packets of cheese and dog jackets.
Chloe Wilson, of Lord Street in Barrow, appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on August 29 where she admitted two theft offences at the earliest opportunity.
Prosecutor Peter Kelly said the 28-year-old was caught stealing three packets of cheese belonging to Asda and two dog jackets from Home Bargains in Barrow on August 15.
Mr Kelly said the value of cheese stolen was £13 whilst the cost of the dog jackets was £13.98.
Wilson was punished by magistrates ordering that she complete 40 hours of unpaid work as part of a 12-month community order.
She was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs.
