A WOMAN has been ordered to pay compensation in punishment for assaulting a man in Millom.
Vicky Bowman, of Surrey Street in Millom, pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to assault by beating, contrary to section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988.
Court records show the 48-year-old committed the offence on February 22 in Millom.
At South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on September 2, Bowman was fined £200 and ordered to pay £50 in compensation to the victim.
She was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and an £80 surcharge.
