The Lake District Music Festival is coming to Barrow next month as part of its expanded family schedule.
Barrow Library will be getting involved in the county-wide spectacle by hosting The Little Vixen Family Opera on Friday, August 2.
This will feature performances at 10.45am, 1.15pm and 3.15pm, alongside craft activities for children to make their own puppets to be a part of the shows.
Additional family events will be happening at the Windermere Jetty Museum on July 28, Kendal Town Hall on July 29, and in Grizedale Forest on July 30.
The music festival itself will take place between July 26 and August 4, bringing 'the very finest world-class musicians' right to the doorstep for Cumbria locals.
Explaining the range of locations for the event, the organisers added: "We passionately believe that music is for everyone, everywhere, which is why we are always searching for exciting new spaces across Cumbria to enjoy music."
