A HISTORIC train is due to pass through Cumbria.
Train fans will be able to catch a glimpse of the Midland Pulman when it passes through Furness on Thursday.
The train, Britain’s first luxury high-speed diesel-electric train running in the early 1960s, came out of service in 1966.
A tour is due to take passengers between Derby and Carlisle.
On the way back the train will travel down the Cumbria coast, through Furness and round towards Lancaster.
A description of the tour said: "This special tour includes a journey over the entire majestic route of the famous Settle to Carlisle railway, with great limestone peaks and deep valleys we travel over viaducts and through tunnels on this masterpiece of Victorian engineering – including the famous Ribblehead Viaduct.
"Following a break in the historic border city of Carlisle our journey continues along the scenic Cumbrian coastal line."
