A birthday procession celebrating Robert Owen will take place in Newtown town centre on Saturday, May 11.
Robert Owen Museum is holding the event which starts and ends at the Broad Street building from 11am to 12 noon.

There will be a procession with music and a short speech at the statue by Dewi Hughes, followed by tea and cake at 12 noon back at the museum.
“Please join us in celebrating the birthdate of this special and significant person, who was born and died in Newtown,” a museum spokesperson said.
