A WOMAN who had her mobility scooter stolen has found it dumped and damaged beyond repair.
Rachel Robinson, of Saltney, had the scooter stolen on March 15 whilst she was at the chemist.
The 50-year-old recently had spinal neck surgery, and has spinal stenosis and nerve damage. She suffered a dural tear during surgery and is currently awaiting further scans at the Walton Centre in Liverpool.
Rachel relies on the scooter to get around and has been left stranded in her flat following the theft.
She has since recovered the scooter but it has been damaged beyond repair.
"They dumped it on Wednesday morning on Coronation Street," she said. "They had taken the barrel for the key out and hot wired it.
"It absolutely no good now and cannot be repaired. I am so upset as it makes no sense why anyone would do this."
She added: "Why would you vandalise a mobility scooter and dump it? Lower than low if you ask me."
Rachel paid £300 for the scooter, and said she can't afford to buy a replacement.
She said: "I tried getting the bus home today as there were no taxis and I needed to get to the bank but I was struggling with pain so much, it's agony.
"I can't walk more than a few steps before the pain kicks in."
Anyone who has any information regarding the theft of the scooter is urged to contact Cheshire Police quoting reference number 24000268605.
