BARROW AFC manager Pete Wild has congratulated goalkeeper Paul Farman on reaching 100 club appearances.

Farman, who was voted by The Mail readers as Barrow's 2022/23 Player of the Season, stood between the sticks for the Bluebirds for the 100th time against Tranmere Rovers.

Farman, who committed his future to the Bluebirds by signing a one-year contract extension in April, has kept 27 clean sheets for Barrow during his two-year spell at the club so far.

Speaking ahead of Barrow's first home match of the season against Sutton United, Wild congratulated Farman on reaching the milestone.

"Outstanding, what a professional," he said.

"He is a great servant to the football club and like I said last year to get him to sign again and stay with the football club and again I thought he was calm, cool, collected, and really composed on Saturday and I am really pleased with him.

"He was also telling me the other day that he is not fair off 500 league appearances which again is a fantastic milestone for any footballer."
