BARROW AFC has released images of what the SO Legal Stadium will look like after a summer of ground renovation which will see an increase in capacity.

The club has shared plans for additional seating to be installed at Holker Street for the start of the 2023/24 season.

The schedule of work is in place with contractors GL Events and HBP Ltd, with support from Gadsden Consulting and Tape Design Ltd.

The away end capacity will be increased to just under 1,000 fans thanks to the installation of 522 new covered seats in the north east corner of the stadium.

The club will also be installing 371 covered seats on the West Terrace for the use of home supporters.

Finally the 2023/24 campaign will see the Steelworks End back in use again as 196 seats are to be installed in the summer.

These improvements will also include elevated wheelchair bays as part of the club’s commitment to improving facilities for all supporters at the SO Legal Stadium.

A planning application was submitted to Westmorland and Furness Council by the club which stated that the improvements needed to be made in order to fulfill the EFL's requirement for covered seating.
