BARROW AFC manager Pete Wild has detailed how he has been tweaking tactics in the last few weeks and stressed the importance of 'picking the right team' against Harrogate Town.

As the 2022/23 League Two season draws to a close, the Barrow boss has guided his side to their best run of the season with the Bluebirds currently five matches unbeaten in the league.

On this run, Wild has fully utilised his squad with the strength his side has in-depth shining in recent weeks.

With a trip to Harrogate at the weekend quickly approaching, Wild spoke about making sure he picks the correct team for the situation.

He said: "That will be a key component of the last ten games of the season, picking the right team for the right games and I certainly think we have picked the right team on Saturday for what was a roll your sleeves up, backs against the wall game

"This Saturday it is important that we pick the right team that can go to Harrogate and give the best account of themselves.

Wild also discussed how he has worked hard this season to change the 'framework' around the squad and detailed how he has adapted his set-up to match certain opponents.

He said: "We have changed the framework and we have to make sure when we change that framework of the team that we have players who are able to carry out the roles.

"We feel we have and have made slight tweaks between 3-5-2 and 3-4-3 and against Salford going back to our old shape. It is about the intelligence of the players to be able to navigate that and the importance of us not giving us too much information that they cannot do the roles because there are too many grey areas."
