BARROW AFC manager Pete Wild has shared his thoughts ahead of his side's clash with struggling Harrogate Town.

After their goalless draw with Sutton United at the SO Legal Stadium last time out in the league Barrow travel to the EnviroVent Stadium to take on Simon Weaver's 21st-placed Harrogate Town and have the chance to extend their unbeaten streak to six games.

Reflecting on past duels with Weaver's sides, Wild said: "I have played against Simon many times and I know what his teams are like. They will be at it from the first whistle, they will be on the front foot, and they won’t give you a minute of peace.

"I know they are down there but they have a really good home record and I think the home record has been one of the catalysts for getting their points this season.

"We are expecting a front-foot team that are fighting for their lives and looking to pick up points and a team that are decent at home."

Ahead of the match, Wild also expressed the importance of focusing on what his side can do to secure another crucial three points in North Yorkshire.

He said: "When we do our analysis it is 80 per cent about us, 20 per cent about the opposition, so how do we play and how is that going to stop or exploit the opposition and that is the question we pose to the staff every week and we pose to the players.

"We are going there to be on the front foot and try to match fire with fire and get after Harrogate and see what problems we can cause them and then up the other end we want to be strong, resolute, and keep these clean sheets going.

"We want to be a team that does not concede goals and takes pride in people coming in our own box and makes sure we stop people coming in our own box."

In terms of injury news, Wild confirmed that Josh Kay is back in contention ahead of the match with the Sulphurites after a hamstring injury, however Elliot Newby is still a week away from full fitness
