BARROW AFC boss Pete Wild feels the signing of forward Jake Young from Bradford City can really help The Bluebirds in the second half of the season.

The 21-year-old signed for Barrow on Saturday morning joining on loan until the end of the current campaign.

He has already found the back of the net at the SO Legal Stadium this season when he netted an equaliser for Bradford City in The Bluebirds' eventual 3-2 win in August.

“He's a top player, a top footballer who we feel we can get going," said Wild.

"The way we play suits the way Jake plays.

"He can play in any of the positions across the front four.

"He has pace, he has goals and that can only help us in the second half of the season."

Young will be straight into contention for selection at the weekend as Barrow host Salford City in Sky Bet League Two.
