Barrow will travel to the Lamex Stadium to take on Steve Evans' Stevenage on Friday December 2

To predict how The Bluebird's visit to the second placed Boro, we took a look at how both sides' WhoScored stats match-up.

Pete Wild's side are flying this season after narrowly avoiding relegation in the previous campaign. Barrow currently sit fourth in the League Two standings but will face a tough test against fellow high-flyers Stevenage.

Barrow are yet to face top-half opposition this season but they're style of play from previous games may give them the edge against Stevenage.

The Boro under Steve Evans also look like a formidable outfit in the league this season and come into this game off the back of two impressive victories against King's Lynn Town in the FA Cup and the Arsenal Academy.

However, last time out in the league on Saturday, November 19, Stevenage struggled against a lower-placed Grimsby Town at Blundell Park.

In this game Paul Hurst's side stepped onto the Boro and dominated possession, seeing 54.6% of the ball.

Grimsby were also more proactive in the encounter with The Mariners having 17 shots to The Boro's 12 and dominated the physical side of the game winning 38 out of the games 64 aerial duels.

However, despite being under pressure Stevenage held out for a point, showing a definite resilience to Steve Evans' side. Furthermore when the stat are broken down more, it becomes apparent that Stevenage can play without the ball and be dangerous, with The Boro only recording two fewer key passes and winning 46 offensive aerial duels to Grimsby's 18.

Pete Wild's Barrow are also a side that are comfortable playing without the ball. In their last league game against strugglers Hartlepool, they only saw 45.4% of the ball but due to the quality that the Bluebirds have in midfield and attack with Ben Whitfield, Josh Kay and Josh Gordon, Barrow were able to win the game easily.

This will be key against Stevenage for Pete Wild's side as both sides will be content with not seeing the ball, however, if Barrow can step onto Stevenage and make use of the quality in their forward ranks they could secure victory against an in-form opponent.
