A BOAT and a Fisherman's friend could be spotted at the front of The Coro today in Ulverston.

These are performers from locally-based Bread and Butter Theatre Company. The company specialises in street theatre.

The two performers are Simeon Leach in the boat and Garry Gifford plays the Fisherman's Friend. This is to go with the tentacles coming out of the front of The Coro.

Melanie Gifford, the company director at Bread and Butter Theatre said: "We were asked to get involved, we are a Ulverston-based street theatre company so it is always nice to work in our home town.

"A lot of tourists and visitors are in the town at the moment because of the festival at the Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre. So it is about raising awareness, getting people to go to the exhibition."

She said: "It has probably been one of our busiest years we have had, they have done a production in Copenhagen."

The exhibition starts tomorrow.
