H&H Insurance Brokers has teamed up with Cumbria Tourism as its newest Strategic Partner, in recognition of their shared focus and determination to grow and nurture the tourism and hospitality sector in the county.

Cumbria Tourism is one of the UK’s leading Destination Management Organisations (DMOs) and is the largest membership organisation in Cumbria, supporting the work of businesses across a multi-billion pound visitor economy.

Its core network of Strategic Partners are like-minded organisations who want to get behind the industry, share their collective expertise and champion the delivery of effective destination management for the wider benefit of the local economy, jobs and communities.

H&H Insurance Brokers is now Cumbria’s largest insurance brokers. Established in 1987, it looks after clients across the tourism and hospitality sector, providing support for family-run hotels, self-catering holiday lets, campsites, caravan sites, restaurants, cafes and tourism experiences.

Based in Carlisle and operating across the North of England, the Scottish Borders and Wales, the firm works with businesses in the commercial, property and agricultural sectors, as well as offering a number of specialist products and services.

Paul Graham, Managing Director of H&H Insurance Brokers, said: “As a proud Cumbrian firm, we understand the needs of the businesses at the heart of our amazing visitor economy. The collaboration with Cumbria Tourism was a natural step for us because it enables us to work alongside the organisation at the heart of the tourism sector in the county.

“After meeting the team at Cumbria Tourism, we immediately realised that we shared the same values and that our advice and services can help protect their current and future members. We look forward to working with the organisation over the coming years."

Gill Haigh, Managing Director of Cumbria Tourism, adds, “It’s fantastic to welcome H&H Insurance Brokers on board as a valued Strategic Partner.

“As an enthusiastic champion of Cumbria’s economy, we know they share our collective desire to champion the long-term success of the county’s ever-evolving tourism industry and the local communities it supports.

“This is a great example of a firm which is supporting tourism businesses as a trusted adviser in their specialist area of expertise. We’re looking forward to working collaboratively to help maximise new opportunities and shape the future prosperity of our world-class destination.”
