GLEASTON village hall is hosting Sip and Sew on Thursday 4 August.
For £5, with a choice of drink included, participants can bring along their own sewing machine or hand sew 'something beautiful with a little help from your sewing buddies!'
The event will run from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
Members of the Gleaston Craft Group have run a variety of events over the past few months relating to sewing and crafts.
Last week, there was an eco printing session by Furness Spinners Weavers and Dyers. The participants printed dyes onto fabric from leaves and flowers that were cut and stuck onto a board.
Back in May at The Coro, Ulverston, Knits and Stitches hosted an introduction to rug making using stick weaving, quille rings and rag rugging techniques.
The participants came home with a newly designed rug for their home.
