A BRAND new one-day event will open this weekend near Cartmel.
The folk music festival will be set at the grounds of Holker Hall, Cark in Cartmel on Saturday.
The line-up will include folk music stars such as Kate Rushby, who will be closing the day after performances by Cara Dillon, The Leisure Society, Bella Hardy, Kathyrn Robers and Sean Lakeman, Sam Kelly and the Lost Boys, and Flats and Sharps.
Punters will be able to bring food and soft drinks onto the site, including a limited amount of alcohol. However, there will also be vendors at Holker Hall.
There will be hidden performances at the Holker Hall Cafe and Shop.
There is parking, but drivers must leave the site immediately after the close of the final act of the evening.
The event organisers said it would go ahead 'come rain or shine." The event will run from midday to 10.30 pm.
