A MOTORIST has been convicted of drug driving after he was found to have had cannabis in his system on the A590.
Barrow man Alistair Hughes admitted that he drove a Ford Transit on the road near Rusland Pool with the substance in his blood.
At South Cumbria Magistrates' Court, the 54-year-old, of Hibbert Road, was fined £400.
Hughes was also banned from driving for a year.
On top of the fine he was ordered to pay a £40 victim surcharge and £300 in costs.
