The organisers of Furness Tradition Festival in Ulverston have announced the line-up of performers. 

The festival takes place on the second weekend in July in Ulverston and uses the famous Coronation Hall as a venue. 

It is themed around the traditional music, dance and folk arts of the South Lakeland region. 

The concert line-up from July 8-10 is as follows: Alice Jones, Bryony Griffith, Jon Doran, Janice Burns, Hannah Rarity trio, The Canny Band and Tim Edey. Bryony Griffith and Alice Jones are from West Yorkshire and will be playing 'traditional songs inspired by the landscape, language and characters of their surroundings' as a guitar and fiddle duo.

Hannah Rarity trio is from Scotland, and has been nominated at the Scots Trad Music Awards. Her album was released last week.

Janice Burns and Jon Doran are an Anglo-Scottish duo that play mandolin and bouzouki with tight vocal harmonies. Jon played a zoom concert for the festival last year so will finally be playing live at the Hall. 

The dance groups, who will be performing in the streets of Ulverston over the same weekend are: Crook Morris, Hadrian Clog, Flag & Bone Gang, Richmond Castle Clog, Perree Bane Manx dancers, Betty Lupton's Ladle Laikers, and Pesaetan Morris.
