TWO people were taken to hospital after a car plunged into a river.
Four fire engines attended a collision on the A590 near Penny Bridge involving one vehicle going into the river.
The fire service and paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service attended the scene at 00:36 on Monday.

Firefighters used four swift water rescue technicians, a thermal image camera and lighting and were detained for approximately sixty minutes.
