A SUCCESSFUL Barrow restaurant has re-branded itself to re-emerge from lockdown and been praised by the public.

Proper Filling, located on Michaelson Road, has recently received a five-star hygiene rating for its premises, and has gathered a collection of positive reviews online.

During the lockdown, the business was forced to close its doors but since reopening the restaurant has rebranded itself as Proper Filling.

Known for its high-quality meals and service, the company has found great success following its return to trading with its doors open.

Manager Tracey Cuthbertson, who has worked at the business for sixteen years, said: "We've been doing well.

"It used to be called Just 2 Tasty but we've recently changed it to Proper Filling after the lockdown.

"All the same stuff is here and we're not really a new business. More of an evolved business.

"The rebrand has been going well and we have a lot of new things. We keep up with the times and change things around when we feel the need.

"It's not the same as what it used to be but things have changed. We're still surviving.

"There are five of us in the shop and two in the canteen. We have a good group of people with us.

"Although we have no changes in the future, we have enough to be getting on with at the moment.

"The rebrand was due to us splitting into two different businesses almost, so we wanted everyone to know we were the same one.

"We still have the same core values as we did before, same high-quality food and we are striving to do well.

"We have started doing deliveries which have gone really well.

"We did the same food in Just Tasty and the same menu. Less confusing for people that way.

"The business wasn't open through lockdown and we were closed for those eighteen months. I've got a canteen as well and we did all the food in the shop before taking it there. Since we couldn't socially distance in there, we had to do it that way.

"During the whole thing we feed around 300 people a day."
