BARROW Council is seeking court action over unpaid business rates.
The council is seeking liability orders against 93 businesses in the borough.
Barrow's magistrates' court is due to hear an application for liability orders concerning unpaid non-domestic rates on Monday.
Magistrates could agree to the liability orders which may require the respondents to attend court should they fail to pay the outstanding amount.
The orders would also give the council permission to appoint bailiffs or to deduct money from benefits.
