FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a blaze involving rubbish which 'possibly contained' asbestos.
Crews from Barrow responded to an incident at 2am this morning on Salthouse Road.
The incident was a fire involving a large quantity of rubbish 'possibly containing' asbestos.
Firefighters used two hose reels, three breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera to bring the fire under control and decontamination was carried out on scene.
Fire service were on scene for approximately two hours.
