BARROW AFC has announced that it has filled the role of Chief Operating Officer.

The club has appointed Alisha Henry, who first began work with The Bluebirds in September as Operations Manager.

She had previously gained experience as Commercial Manager at South Shields and as General Manager at Gateshead.

After settling into life at Holker Street, Alisha was then offered the chance to step up to General Manager and will now take on extra responsibility by taking on the title of Chief Operating Officer.

She said: "I would like to thank Paul, Tony, and the board for giving me the opportunity to come to Barrow and progress."

"It’s been a steep learning curve during the last nine months, but I think we are slowly starting to see improvements behind the scenes, and I will be working even harder next season to ensure we can keep developing the club."
