A raft of tributes have been paid after the death of a much-loved member of the Barrow sporting community.
Barrow Raiders announced the death of the Ladies' asisstant coach, Alex Broadhead, on social media:
"It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of our Women's Super League assistant coach, Alex Broadhead.
"A more likeable person you would struggle to meet.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
"Our Ladies fixture versus Leigh Miners Welfare on Sunday will be played in his memory."
