FORMER Barrow AFC loanee Will Harris has been released by parent club Sunderland as his contract comes to an end.
Striker Harris joined The Bluebirds on loan until the end of the season but failed to find the net in his nine league appearances.
He now finds himself without a club as the Black Cats opted not to extend his deal beyond the summer.
Sunderland, who won promotion to the Championship after a 2-0 win against Wycombe Wanderers in the League One play-offs on Saturday, have also released Aiden McGeady, Jordan Willis and Lee Burge, along with £3million signing Will Grigg, who spent the entirety of the campaign at League One rivals Rotherham United.
A statement on the club website read: "Everyone at Sunderland AFC would like to thank the players for their professionalism and commitment during their time at the club and wish them well for the future."
