A FURNESS-born rugby star has reportedly signed up to appear in an upcoming series of a popular ITV reality show.
National papers report 23-year-old former Dowdales Secondary school pupil Jacques O'Neill has been lined up as a potential contestant for Love Island, which begins next month
Reports in Rugby League Live suggested the Askam hooker, who now plays for Super League club Castleford Tigers, could be heading to the Majorca villa in the hopes of finding love.
Jacques debuted with the Tigers in 2019 and has even had a national call-up to play for the England Knights - but is currently sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
O'Neill played junior rugby league for Askam ARLFC before being signed to the Castleford Tigers academy.
He has previously played for the Leigh Centurions and Halifax in the Betfred Championship on loan and dual registration from Castleford.
Love Island, which first started in June 2015, is still a massive hit and is the most popular show for 16 to 34-year-olds.
