A BARROW man has been jailed for breaching a restraining order after calling his ex-partner 50 times in one day.
Jordan Alan McQuinn was jailed for 16 weeks at South Cumbria Magistrates Court for harassing his ex-partner in breach of a restraining order.
The 25-year-old, of Greengate Street, breached the court-issued restraining order between February 1 and April 1 by attending the victim’s house and contacting her via phone, contravening a restraining order imposed by Lancashire Magistrates’ Court on January 14.
A spokesman for CPS North West said McQuinn called his ex-partner 50 times in one day, told her not to contact the police and threatened to turn up at her home.
McQuinn pleaded guilty to the offence on April 18 and was ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £128.
