OIL has been stolen from three pubs in recent weeks.

According to Cumbria Police, used oil was stolen from a pub in Levens on April 28 and from a pub in the Strawberry Bank area, Cartmel, and from a pub in Crooklands on April 1.

Police reported that the suspects travelled in a white transit van.

A force spokesman said: “If you are a pub or restaurant owner and store oil outside, please make sure that you have it secured and you have taken all necessary precautions for example security lights, locks, alarms and CCTV.”
