RUNNERS from across South Cumbria took part in the many parkrun events on offer at the weekend.

Barrow parkrun saw 98 people take to the 5k course, with 10 achieving a new personal best.

First to cross the finish line was Joe Turner in 18.31, followed by Sean Roberts in 18.42 and Cameron Bell in 18.46.

Eight out of the 36 Millom parkrun participants achieved a new personal best.

The fastest to complete the course was Joshua Hartley in 17.07, followed by Liam Brockbank in a new personal best of 19.26 and Dave Bridges in 21.07.

Ford parkrun saw 60 runners take to the course, with five people recording a new personal best.

The fastest person recorded to pass the finish line was Mike Oliver in 21.28, followed by George Mabey in 22.03 and Theo Zaboklicki in 22.56.

111 runners took on Rothay Park parkrun’s course, with 15 of them achieving a new personal best.

The fastest across the finish line was David Dawson in 18.08, followed by Jamie McBrien in 18.23 and Joe Todd in 18.35.

Fell Foot parkrun saw an incredible turnout of 211 runners, with an impressive 23 people achieving new personal bests.

The first to finish the free event was Dan Phillis in a new personal best of 17.55, followed by Simon Jones in a new personal best of 18.21 and Evan Allan in a new personal best of 18.34.
