THIS Sunday as Barrow Raiders face Featherstone Rovers for a place in the 1895 Cup final.

Both sides are just 80 minutes away from appearing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 28 May, and it promises to be an entertaining afternoon of cup rugby in Cumbria.

With Rovers currently top the Betfred Championship and in fine form of late, it could well be a difficult assignment for a Raiders side looking to end a run of three consecutive defeats.

As the only remaining unbeaten side in the Betfred Championship this season, Brian McDermott’s Featherstone side will arrive in Cumbria full of confidence this weekend.

Having been knocked out of the Betfred Challenge Cup in late-March by Catalans Dragons – despite a spirited display in Perpignan – the 1895 Cup remains a route of silverware for Rovers, should they overcome Paul Crarey’s side.

Sunday’s match kicks off at 2:00pm at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium.
