A BARROW restaurant has announced changes to its booking system.

The Barrow Arms Restaurant and Bar has announced the change after having nine no shows across the weekend.

The restaurant, which will close its doors for the final time in two weeks, announced the change to its customers on social media.

The Barrow Arms Restaurant and Bar said: "We have taken the decision that for any bookings in our last two weeks open we will require a deposit of £10 per adult which is non-refundable unless more than 24 hours notice is given. Please note if a booking hasn't paid a deposit the table will not be guaranteed.

"This is due to having five no-shows today and four yesterday. It helps us waste less food and be able to accommodate more bookings.

"Please if you can't make your booking we ask that you call us and let us know.

"This applies to any future bookings, not the ones already taken before today.

"Thank you for your understanding."

The last day of trading was slated to be June 5.

But bosses recently revealed the site will shut on Sunday, May 1 to ‘avoid any further financial losses’.
