A LAKE district restaurant will not be continuing its cocktail nights...despite a popular opening.
The Jumble Room piloted cocktails and 'nibbles' on Monday, April 11, starting at 2.00pm.
But despite a 'fabulous' opener, they have decided that they can't continue these for the time being.
They have left open the prospect in future.
A spokesperson said: "A small amount of bad news today.
"Despite a fab couple of opening nights last week, a staff shortage and a very full diary at our sister business - Randy Pike - has forced our decision to put our aspirations of running a cocktail bar in Grasmere on hold.
"We may well revisit this further into the season, but for now, we will just be open for our normal Thursday, Friday, and Saturday restaurant evenings."
This disappointment follows a change of menu in the restaurant, which served a range of cocktails, wine, beer and soft drinks, as well as an eclectic selection of snacks including carrot tahini, zhugg marinated halloumi, miniature deep fried calzone, and beef albondigas.
