BARROW Raider's Danny Morrow has stated the squad is ready to make a comeback following their previous defeat.

Morrow insists the side will right the wrongs of the past weekend’s defeat against Batley Bulldogs when they visit Bradford Bulls this weekend on Sunday.

Morrow was part of the side that suffered a 30-18 loss on home soil during their last fixture.

Despite the loss, the 31-year-old was celebrated for crossing the line for his first try of the season during the match.

Ahead of their upcoming trip to Odsal, he insists the squad are determined to bounce back as they continue to adapt to the weekly challenges of the Betfred Championship.

Morrow said: “Definitely, it was a very disappointing result at the weekend.

“After a long string of victories and a competitive near miss against Huddersfield, the first loss was always going to be a bitter pill to swallow.

“I think the two early tries in the first half set the standard for the game. From experience, Batley are brilliant at maintaining a lead.

"They always play clinical and consistent rugby, utilising their big player close to the line and skilful kicking game.

“If you give them a metre they will take a mile. It was obviously a massive blow going down to 11 and 12 men, but I think our attitudes changed and we gained that spark back for the second half getting some points on the board, but we just didn’t have the time to claw our way back to a win.

“The squad is fully determined to put right our faults from the weekend.”

Nevertheless, Morrow insists the squad have prepared well and understand where they need to improve if they are to return to winning ways against John Kear’s side.

He added: “We did a vigorous video session on what we need to improve on, and we will go again with the right attitude.

"We know how we can perform and are fully capable of putting the pressure on Bradford this week.

“We are missing opportunities on the pitch to score points and it’s clear as day when reviewing the game.

“It all comes down to making the right choices in both defence and attack, and if we grasp this at the weekend we will come out on top.

“We’ve had a really positive week at training.

"Cresta has tailored the sessions around our video review and given us the tools to adjust our game and put right our mistakes from last week. We are ready and fully prepared for a tough clash against Bradford.”
