Barrow AFC are urging any fans not making the trip to Crawley today to head to Rakesmoor Lane and cheer on Holker Old Boys.

Kevin Watkin’s side host Nelson in their North West Counties play-off semi-final.

It follows a highly impressive campaign for the Barrow club, who finished second behind champions Bury AFC in the table.

That earned them a home clash in the play-off semi-finals - while they’ll also be at home if they get past Nelson this afternoon.

“We’d love as many Bluebirds fans as possible to head to Rakesmoor Lane to support them,” Barrow AFC said.

“It would be fantastic to see any fans who aren’t making the long trip to Sussex go down and back Jason Walker and his team-mates in their semi-final.”

Holker Old Boys were recently named their division’s club of the month after continuing their impressive form through March.

They completed their league campaign with a strong tally of 24 wins, six draws and six defeats.

Kick-off at Rakesmoor Lane is 3pm and the bar will be open to fans before and after the game too, with fans able to watch the televised Everton v Manchester United game at 12.30pm, the Grand National at 5.15pm plus the Masters golf, either side of the big play-off clash for Watkin’s side.

Entry is £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and free for under-16s.

The winners of today’s tie will take on either Golcar or AFC Blackpool, who also play their semi-final this afternoon.

The final will be played on Saturday, April 16.
